Intro:
Main event time! We finish round six of this year's Diamond Boxing Tournament with Antje Utgaard (5-0) having a chance to win the tournament, a win here means she can't be caught no matter the results in the final round of bouts. Lorella Boccia (2-3) is hoping to spoil the party and keep her own hopes alive of finishing in a high position.

Before the bout in Saint Louis's Enterprise Center. Both fighters got a chance to speak their minds on camera. Antje did her video sitting on the ring steps at her stables gym after a training session. She is wearing a red sports bra with red yoga pants and red hand wraps on.

"This tournament has pushed me so hard, I am feeling all the aches and pains from all my bouts but I am loving it. Finally I am showing what I can do in that ring after years of struggling. Front Street Boxing has helped me return back to where I wanted to be" says Antje. She wipes some sweat off her brow with her right hand.

She then says "Lorella next for me and I honestly respect her. She is tough and isn't in the tournament to make up numbers. You will give me a tough test that'll probably make me want to stay in bed for the rest of the week but I need to finish my story by winning this bout and raking home the trophy."

Lorella meanwhile does her video at her hotel room as she stands at the balcony. Wearing a black dress as she has her hands on her hips. She tells the camera "this is a bout I've looked forwards to the more Antje has been winning. She has shown that she is the one to beat in this tournament, I am going to be the one that breaks your unbeaten streak." Keeping it short and simple.

Fight Night! First out comes Antje with her coach/mentor LeeLee Sobieski. She looks relaxed as she gives a wave to the crowd before walking down the aisle. Getting into the ring, she is wearing a red sports bra with white stripes down the sides, matching trunks and shoes, red gloves, hair tied into a ponytail. She bangs her gloves together keen to use them.

Lorella now begins her walk to the ring with her coach Miyada Issiki. She walks slowly to the ring smiling to her fans who wave the Italian flag. She steps into the ring wearing a light blue sports bra with an Italian flag badge on the left bra cup, blue trunks, shoes and gloves, hair tied into a ponytail as she looks fired up telling her fans to shout louder with a grin.

The referee waves the fighters to the middle of the ring. They lock eyes as both stand with hands on their hips trying to unnerve each other. They bump fists to show respect before walking back to their corners. Once ready the bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
"Ding!" There's a quick nod to each other before getting down to business. Antje looks to set the tone early with a few jab/straight combos. Lorella crouches to move in closer to land a few body shots before she moves back out to range. Lorella looking to stick and move in the opening minute.

A jab catches Antje on her chin after she misses a left hook on the crouched down Lorella. Who piles the pressure on after landing an uppercut to push back Utgaard. Antje finding herself pinned down against the ropes. Lorella swinging in hooks looking to end things now before Antje can push her off. Getting back into space, the American stares intensely at Lorella.

They exchange more harder shots as the round is coming to a close. Cheeks taking the brunt of the hits. When the round ends Antje takes a deep breath before returning to her stool, knowing she has to do better as Lorella has proven not to be a push over.

Round 2:
Antje comes out landing several straight punches into the chest of Lorella to mix things up. Lorella gets a few solid body shots in before being pushed back. Antje starting to control the distance better as Lorella has to tighten her guard up.

Trying to step inside the reach of Antje, Lorella's movement is read by her foe as a right cross slams onto her forehead to knock her back a step. Antje turning up the heat with a few hooks to make Lorella back up on her heels. Lorella trying to fight her way off the ropes as her back is nearly touching it.

Needing to hold onto Antje. Lorella looks like she is biting on her gumshield not to curse herself. They are broken up with Lorella boxing more defensively, showing how much respect she has for Antje. The round comes to a close with Lorella yelling at herself in her native tongue as she is not happy she has given Antje momentum as clearly she wanted to dominate early knowing how dangerous her opponent become in the ring.

Round 3:
Pushing off their stools to resume. There are a few scruffy moments as they trade on the inside, hips and shoulders getting hit more then flush shots. Antje gets caught with an overhand left onto her jaw to turn her head.

Now it's Lorella pushing the pace as Antje covers up. The Italian stunner looking to batter Antje. Lorella pounding several body shots in to make Antje groan out. Leading to Antje nudging off Lorella and landing a nice sweeping right hook to show she can be dangerous on the back foot.

Under a minute to go. Lorella is still pushing the pace on the inside. Antje standing and trading with her. The crowd is mostly behind Antje but the Italian fans are in full voice behind their girl as the atmosphere is electric. The round ends with both pushing apart, they have a hard look for each other as tempers flare for a moment. They return to their corners getting wiped down as Antje is certainly not having an easy time here.

Round 4:
Trading around the middle of the ring. Both are letting their hands go more as they want to push each other back. Lorella landing a few shots around the jugs of Antje, maybe trying to throw her off her game. Antje is gritting her mouthpiece as she sticks in to trade with her foe.

A left hook catches Lorella on her ear to unbalance her for a moment. Antje turning the heat up on her with several hooks following jabs. Lorella needs to hold onto her to slow her down. A few kidney shots come in from both as the respect factor is out the window and now are desperate to win this contest. Both getting warned to keep things clean as they nod to each other an apology.

Resuming with Lorella trying to get back at Antje. They bump shoulders at times as Antje is moving to the sides of Lorella to try to not be in the direct firing line of the Italian. The round comes to an end with both walking back to their corners. Getting wiped down of sweat as marks are on their faces.

Round 5:
Resuming with more stiffer shots being exchanged at times as they swing through their hips. Lorella is being disruptive with a few nudges on her opponent to keep her off balance. Swinging away in close to work the flanks of Antje as she gets in closer.

Into the second minute of the round. Antje lands several solid shots around the cheeks of Lorella, who has a little swelling forming on the top of her left cheek. LORELLA DIPS UNDER A STRAIGHT AND COMES OVER THE TOP WITH A RIGHT SQUARE ONTO THE FACE OF ANTJE TO KNOCK HER ONTO HER BACKSIDE!

Lorella jogs over to the neutral corner with a breath to cool off. 1....2....3... Antje shakes her head to clear it. 4....5... Antje pushes to her right knee, left foot planted as she doesn't look too badly hurt. 6....7....8 getting up to her feet, Antje raises her gloves assuring the referee that she'll be ok.

Back at it they go with Lorella looking to push the pace and end things now. Antje boxing more defensively as Lorella slings in straight shots. Both go toe to toe in the dying moments of the round with Antje near her own corner. Punches landing with cracks of leather ringing out.

At the bell Antje walks back to her corner with a cut on her bottom lip. LeeLee asking how she is as Antje sits down, with Utgaard replying that she'll be ok. While Lorella is tapping her toes showing how keen she is to get going again. The success of this round making Lorella excited that she has shown she can hurt her opponent.

Round 6:
Out comes Antje looking to survive the early aggression of her opponent. Lorella is landing several good clean shots as she steps after Antje. Problem is she can't pin down the taller fighter. A jab catches Lorella on her nose before a right cross slams on her nose to make her retreat.

Momentum has swung back again as Antje now turns on the jets as she batters back Lorella into her own corner. Miyada is yelling advice to her fighter. Both women swinging as Lorella is looking to escape her corner, Antje to keep her pinned down. A right across the temple of Lorella to wobble her. Lorella grabs onto Antje to stop an onslaught coming her way.

After being broken up. Antje is the one now landing the cleaner punches. Lorella is being forced to move around the perimeter as she is trying to fire back with a meaningful punch to turn the tables again. At the ding of the bell they lock eyes for a moment before walking to their corners.

Round 7:
Stepping back out with their eyes locked behind their gloves. Both women trading heavy leather. It's Antje who catches Lorella with a nasty looking right hook around the temple of Lorella to wobble her. AN UPPERCUT CATCHES LORELLA ON HER CHIN TO SEND HER ONTO HER BACK!

Antje walks to the neutral corner with beads of sweat dripping off her brow. 1....2.....3....4... Lorella has her eyes shut as she lays spread eagle. 5....6... Her eyes open as she is blinking. 7....8... Lorella bends her right leg but she isn't moving anymore. 9....10 Lorella is counted out!

Winner Antje Utgaard KO Round 8

After:
It's official now that Antje has won the Diamond Boxing Tournament. She raises her arms in the air fighting back tears of joy. LeeLee gets into the ring and rushes over to give her a big hug. All the work over this year has seen Antje go from a terrible run the first time she was in this tournament to being the champion.

Once Antje is done celebrating with LeeLee, she shows her other side as she walks over to Lorella. The beaten fighter has been helped onto her stool now with help from Miyada and the referee. Antje checking on Lorella as the two share respectful words.

Once Lorella feels up to it she heads out the ring. She gets a cheer from her fans at ringside as she blows them a few kisses. Walking backstage with Miyada not saying much. Clearly wanting to wait till they are in private to say her mind on what happened tonight. It was a close fought match with Lorella having a possible chance to win it all. She has Alice Goodwin in her final tournament bout, she won't be able to let her off the hook if she wants to finish this event strong.

The winner meanwhile gets her left hand raised in victory. She flexes her arms with a cheeky wink to the cameras. Going on a lap of honour as her name is chanted. Antje gets another hug from LeeLee as they are show the bond they have. It seems the help from the former world champion taking a personal interest in Antje has helped her evolve.

Leaving the ring together, Antje has the stern test of Bridgette Satterlee to look forwards to. She has a chance to complete the clean sweep but Bridgette is another tough customer. Can Antje beat the field or she Bridgette prove a party spoiler in one month's time?
